WHAT IS THE BROTHERHOOD OF BASIC MC

 

We belive in a strong and everlasting brotherhood, where we stand up for each other in every kind of situasion. That means we don't back off on our club, a brother or our family in any kind of way. The brotherhood is our life, and we live by our own rules. If you don't accept our way of life or want to interact with us, then walk away and mind your own business. All of this is BASIC values in life for us. 

To become a member you have know us, and be a person with a attitude that fits in with the rest of the brotherhood. It is a must that you have a lot of mechanical skills and own one or more Harley-Davidson motorcycles.  Then we maybe accept you as a SPINAROUND. At this moment you get the first visible sign that indikates your belonging. A frontstripe with the text "MC - Eastside" is to be placed on the leatherjackets left side. The training has started. The next step is to become a HANGAROUND, and the patch will contain the clubname "Basic MC - Eastside". At this moment you can participate at the weekly clubmeeting and get resposibility for certain club functions.   By the time you become a PROSPECT you'll know everything about your brothers by good and bad, and your leatherjackets back now have the patches with "Eastside" and "MC" placed on it. All these steps are a probationary time to proof you are a real brother and earn you membership. During the time as spin, hang and prospect you have to do the clubs "dirty works". When you finally get the offer of being a member, it's a lifetime decision. Then at last you will have the honor to become a real brother, or so called fullpatcher. This means you'll have the right to wear  full colors on the back of your jacket with "Basic" and the logo together with "MC" and "Eastside", and you can call yourself a member of the brotherhood. This process can for some take a few years and others a lifetime.

Our patch has the symbol of a two edge axe which means we are individuals and the brotherhood will accept that a member for some reason, in certain matters, have his own opinion. The wolfs head symbolise strong relations, respect to older members and loyalty to each other. The skull that looks down on the road, means that we play along, on  team with the faith, for our protection while we  riding our bikes. We don't have a brother to loose. If one get hurt, we all will bleed.

Most of our life is dedikated to the brotherhood, and we spend our time doing club functions. A members position in the club is indikated by a patch on the leatherjackets right frontside. In the weekends and holidays we visit other clubs or biker friends, and during the week we work on our bikes or just spend the time in each others company.

We pay a lot of attention to older Harley-Davidson motorcycles and try to modify these to a clean and simple look in the bobber and chopper style. We do all the mechanical work ourself, ride them with pride and feel almost a childish joy when we hear those old engines roar. We can spend hours and hours improve and adjust the engines to run as smooth as possible. The ultimate pleasure is to do this in each others company, and go for a ride or travel along to a biker party. You are welcome to look at our bikes, as much as you like, but don't even think about touching them. That would be worse than have a pitbull with aids stuck on your ass.

Life is.....a great brotherhood like our's, a good and lovin' family and motorcycle ridin'.
